WordPress & .htaccess
In this post we’re going to look at 26 .htaccess hacks, from A to Z.
I know it takes time to implement .htaccess tricks but i am pretty sure it’s worth to do it.In many cases you don’t need to use WordPress plugins, just simple .htaccess tricks.
A to Z of WordPress .htaccess Hacks post presents 26 .htaccess hacks and those are my favorites :
- C – WP-Config Protection
- H – Disable hotlinking
- L – Limiting number of simultaneous connections
- M – Maintenance
- P – Protect your .htaccess file.
- U – Remove /category/ from your category URL
- W – Redirect from http://www.whatever to http://whatever
I hope you find some free time to implement some of those hacks… as you can see there are many security tips also. Before you start your tests remember to have working backup !
